Brest University Hospital partners with AVATAR MEDICAL to do research on prostate cancers

The diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancers requires a precise visualization of tumors to better ascertain morphology, localization, volume and extent. AVATAR MEDICAL™ provides a groundbreaking technology to rapidly capture this information.

The radiotherapy department of the Brest University Hospital is positioned to take advantage of these new technological opportunities specifically with the aim of improving the care of patients with prostate cancer. That is why they decided to partner with AVATAR MEDICAL™ starting in April 2021.

AVATAR MEDICAL™’s technology is based on intelligent filters that provide reliable and detailed 3D patient reconstructions based on existing medical image types. The key feature of this technology, however, is the ability to fully interact with these patient avatars in virtual reality.
